The Gamma Chapter at Midwestern State University (MSU) in Wichita Falls, Texas was established in March of 1994. An interest group whose desire to have a sorority that addressed the issues of Hispanic women was formed from the Organization of Hispanic Students. Elisa Reyna, from Texas Woman's University Alpha Chapter, was now attending MSU. Elisa along with twelve "founding mothers," established the Gamma Chapter at Midwestern State University. The first pledge class was in the Spring of 1994, which consisted of 9 women. The following were members of the first pledge class at MSU: Alma Castillo, Martha Compean, Teresa Ramos, Margarita Frausto, Carmen Guerrero, Suzanna Gonazalez, Iliana Jaramillo, Xochitl Belmares, Anastasia Molina, and Elisa Reyna-active member, Alpha Chapter.
